Bridge Restoration, Laverton, Somerset

Somerset County Council awarded the contract to refurbish a stone slab footbridge on a public right of way crossing, Wheel Brook.

Due to the location of the works, pollution controls were installed and dry areas created around the abutments requiring repairs.  Locally sourced stone was used to restore the masonry walls and repointed using lime mortar.
